Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Gratings
Welded steel bar gratings with a hot-dip galvanized finish, used as trench covers, platform floors and walkways. This line is produced by partner factories we work with long-term; Hongcheng selects the specification with you and quality-checks the goods before dispatch.
Application guidance follows the manufacturer's specification sheet for the standard sizes below. For engineered spans or concentrated loads, confirm the span and loading with us before ordering.

Material & Structure
Welded Bars, Galvanized After Fabrication
A steel grating is a grid of vertical bearing bars joined by twisted square cross rods, welded at every intersection (see the close-up photo). The open grid drains water and lets light and air through, while the bars carry the load in the bearing direction.
Panels are hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, so the zinc coating covers the welds and cut edges as well — the standard finish for outdoor trenches and industrial floors. Serrated bearing bars add grip in wet or oily areas.

Steel Gratings — FAQ
How do I order the right panel size?
Send the trench or platform dimensions (or a drawing) and tell us what crosses it — pedestrians, cars or trucks. Panels are cut to size; the standard sizes in the table are the common starting points.
Plain or serrated — which should I choose?
Serrated bars grip better in wet, oily or sloped areas; plain bars are the standard choice for dry walkways and trench covers. Both come with the same galvanized finish.
Is the grating galvanized before or after welding?
After. Panels are fabricated first and hot-dip galvanized as finished panels, so welds and edges are coated too.
Can I order uncoated (black) panels?
Yes — black, uncoated panels are available on request for indoor or later-painted installations. State it in your inquiry.
What should I include in my inquiry?
